Overview
Anglo American Platinum is seeking a Patrolperson to join our dedicated team at the Mokopane site. In this important role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of employees and assets within our operations. You will be a key player in emergency prevention, monitoring access control, and supporting risk management efforts, all while maintaining security protocols and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Follow work instructions and security procedures to ensure effective patrolling.
- Conduct foot or vehicle patrols, ensuring all areas are properly secured.
- Respond to security alarms and take appropriate action as per procedures.
- Monitor access control, ensuring only authorized personnel have access to specific areas.
- Support risk management efforts, identifying potential risks and taking action.
- Report any irregularities, security breaches, or safety concerns to the Supervisor.
- Operate allocated security equipment, including radios and telephones.
- Promote security awareness within the team by encouraging adherence to security practices.
- Conduct administrative duties, ensuring all relevant documentation is completed accurately.
- Support teamwork, maintaining high standards of presentation and professionalism.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Grade 12 with relevant qualifications.
- PSIRA Grade C registration.
- Firearm Competency.
- Valid driver’s license (Code B).
Experience and Skills:
- Previous experience as a Patrolperson or similar role is an advantage.
- Basic computer literacy is required.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English.
- Knowledge of handling emergency situations effectively.
- Must pass SAPS Criminal Record verification, polygraph test, qualifications verification, and psychometric assessments.
