🔹 Job Purpose & Overview
We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team and support efficient and timely glass deliveries to customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting glass products, ensuring adherence to road safety regulations, and maintaining accurate delivery records. This role requires attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
📌 Key Responsibilities
✅ Timely and safe delivery of glass products to and from customers
✅ Proper handling and transportation of fragile and potentially hazardous glass materials
✅ Adhere to safety regulations, road traffic laws, and company policies
✅ Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the truck is in optimal working condition
✅ Maintain a clean and well-maintained truck, both inside and outside
✅ Accurately complete daily trip sheets, quality check sheets, and delivery paperwork
✅ Monitor vehicle performance, identify issues, and report mechanical faults immediately
✅ Develop and maintain good relationships with customers, ensuring professional interactions
✅ Load and offload glass safely, following best practices for glass handling
✅ Assist with inventory management, stock checks, and paperwork
✅ Support logistics and warehouse operations when necessary
✅ Be available for overtime, weekend shifts, and shift rotations as required
🎓 Minimum Requirements
Education & Qualifications
✔ Matric certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent
✔ Valid Code 10 (or higher) driver’s license with PrDP
Work Experience
✔ At least 2 years of driving experience (preferably in logistics, construction, or manufacturing)
✔ Experience in handling and transporting dangerous goods
✔ Familiarity with glass handling and transportation procedures
✔ Ability to read and understand production orders and delivery notes

✔ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
✔ Excellent time management and organizational skills
