Job Description

The Quality Assurance/Controller position ensures that products or services consistently meet or exceed customer expectations. The role involves defining quality goals, implementing control measures, and ensuring reliable and efficient offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business/Functional Management:
    • Inspect samples, measure dimensions, and examine functionality.
    • Ensure compliance with standards, legal requirements, and procedures.
    • Train the production team to improve product quality and complete independent quality assurance activities.
  • Financial and Commercial:
    • Prepare monthly valuations with senior team members and clients.
    • Recommend adjustments and inspect materials for quality.
    • Perform risk and cost control measures.
  • Risk Management & Compliance:
    • Identify and respond to commercial risks.
    • Ensure project risks are mitigated and aligned with stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Interact professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.
    • Manage subcontractor and supplier relationships and disputes.
  • Management Operating System and Reporting:
    • Write detailed progress reports on costs, quantities, and production.
    • Quantify work done, including contract deviations and claims.
  • Technical Management:
    • Maintain and adapt quality control systems related to the area of responsibility.
  • SHEQ Management:
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Address non-conformance through corrective actions.
  • Staff Management:
    • Lead and direct staff to meet objectives.
    • Monitor and manage performance in line with company policies.

Qualifications

  • B Tech or equivalent in Technology/Quality Assurance
  • Certification as a Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor, Six Sigma, or Quality Improvement Associate is preferred.

Experience

  • 3 years in a related field.

Skills, Qualities, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and radiographs.
  • Medically competent to work on mining or project sites.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
