Requirements:

1. Qualifications:
   • Grade 10 certificate (NQF Level 2).
2. Licenses & Certificates:
   • Driver’s License (Code EC with PrDP).
   • Operating Certificate / Departmental Competency Pink Card for specialized equipment.
3. Experience:
   • 5 years of driving and operating specialized equipment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

• Communication skills (verbal and written).
• Teamwork and ability to operate specialized equipment.
• Good eyesight and the ability to read/write.
• Vehicle inspection and maintenance.
• Understanding and interpretation of operating manuals, maintenance guides, and service charts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Equipment Operation:
   • Operate specialized machinery and equipment.
   • Load/unload goods and equipment.
   • Conduct inspection, cleaning, lubrication, and maintenance of machinery.
   • Maintain gravel roads through grading and shoulder maintenance.
2. Driving Services:
   • Transport work teams, materials, and equipment.
   • Detect and repair minor mechanical problems (oil, fuel, tyres, water).
   • Conduct vehicle inspections and report defects.
   • Maintain logbooks and complete trip authorizations.
