Purpose of the Job
As a Stock Clerk at OK Furniture, a division of the Shoprite Group, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the Stock Ledger and managing stock movement in a fast-paced furniture retail environment. The role is crucial for meeting customer needs and maintaining inventory accuracy. You will take full responsibility for stock management, ensuring in-stock status, and overseeing daily management checks.
Job Objectives
- Analyze and identify problems or exceptions related to the Stock Ledger, taking action to correct them.
- Ensure all stock movements are accurately accounted for in a timely manner.
- Capture all Service Department production on Blue Cube.
- Maintain in-stock status at all times.
- Ensure that management receiving checks are conducted daily.
Qualifications
Essential:
- National Senior Certificate (Matric)
Desirable:
- Admin and Sales Management training
- Trainee Manager Training
- Cost Control Diploma
Experience
- 1-2 years of related experience in a retail or furniture environment (desirable).
Knowledge and Skills
- 6-12 months of experience in retail furniture operations (desirable).
