Job Description

Represent AFGRI Equipment by marketing and selling construction and forestry equipment. Responsibilities include visiting mines, rental and construction companies, analyzing client needs, introducing suitable products, and ensuring a seamless follow-through on all sales processes.


Requirements

Education/Training:

  • Grade 12
  • Relevant Sales or Marketing qualification
  • Valid driver’s license

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of business, sales, and marketing experience
  • Proven sales results within the top 5 OEM
  • Experience in marketing construction and forestry equipment

Key Performance Areas

  1. Marketing Management:
    • Oversee and manage the marketing function of construction and forestry equipment.
  2. Procurement and Stock Control:
    • Ensure efficient stock control and timely procurement.
  3. Equipment Promotion:
    • Market John Deere Construction and Forestry Equipment effectively to clients.
  4. Administration:
    • Maintain records and administrative tasks associated with marketing operations.
  5. Reporting:
    • Prepare and submit detailed marketing and sales reports.

Technical Knowledge/Competencies

  • Ability to close effective business transactions
  • In-depth technical knowledge of construction and forestry equipment
  • Solid understanding of the Construction and Forestry (C&F) industry
  • Strong verbal communication and client service skills

Behavioral Competencies

  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Ability to work in challenging environmental conditions
  • Strong customer orientation and negotiation skills
  • Networking and excellent interpersonal skills
