About Chrysalis Academy
Chrysalis Academy is a non-profit organization in Tokai dedicated to youth development through a structured three-month residential programme for young people in the Western Cape. Focused on discipline, structure, and routine, the Academy offers a holistic approach to empowerment, maintaining a smoke, drug, and alcohol-free environment.
They are looking for a committed General Cleaner to uphold the cleanliness and maintenance of their facilities, embodying the Academy’s values and promoting its healthy, disciplined environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of Academy facilities, including halls, hostels, classrooms, and outdoor spaces.
- Ensure ablution facilities across the campus are sanitized and well-maintained.
- Clean and care for walls, floors, and windows.
- Replenish cleaning supplies and materials as necessary.
- Assist in setting up and tidying venues for events and activities.
- Perform additional cleaning and maintenance tasks as required.
Requirements
- Qualification: A certificate in Cleaning Services (advantageous).
- Experience: 3–5 years of relevant cleaning experience, especially with industrial cleaning equipment.
- Language: Fluency in English and at least one other South African language.
- Lifestyle: Non-smoker leading a healthy, sober lifestyle.
- Attributes: Physical ability to move equipment, commitment to youth development principles.
Skills
- Proficiency in cleaning chemicals and techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Effective time management and multitasking abilities.
- Capability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
