Purpose & Overall Relevance:
The POS Specialist is responsible for managing all customer transactions accurately and efficiently on the POS system. This role ensures that all sales and refund transactions run smoothly, helping to maximize customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle transactions using the cash register or POS system.
- Scan goods and ensure accurate pricing.
- Collect payments in cash or credit.
- Issue receipts, refunds, and change.
- Redeem coupons and vouchers.
- Cross-sell products and introduce new items to customers.
- Sell add-ons to increase units per transaction (UPT).
- Resolve customer complaints and provide guidance or relevant information.
- Greet customers as they enter or leave the store.
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas.
- Track transactions on balance sheets and report discrepancies.
- Bag packages and handle merchandise returns or exchanges.
- Drive CRM and NPS as a key point of customer interaction.
- Contribute to sales and assist with replenishing the sales floor.
- Maintain housekeeping standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of computers and POS systems.
- Familiarity with electronic equipment such as cash registers.

Education and Experience:
- Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
- 5-6 years of experience as a Retail Cashier or in a similar role.
