
Job Title: Trainee Bakery Manager
Location: Boksburg, Gauteng

Job Description:
The Trainee Bakery Manager will manage bakery resources to maximize turnover and minimize shortages, ensuring adherence to standards, processes, and policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Preferably NQF 3 Bakery qualification.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
- Experience as a Baker, Bakery Supervisor, or Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
- Merchandising Management:
- Conduct quality checks and execute the plano guide.
- Handle products as per SOP and ensure compliance with recipe specifications.
- Ensure department readiness by store opening and manage fast-selling lines.
- Monitor promotional activities and maintain cleanliness.
- Food Safety & Hygiene:
- Maintain hygiene standards and stock rotation.
- Monitor adherence to food safety and health standards.
- Manage non-conformances and implement cleaning schedules.
- Customer Services Management:
- Respond to customer requests and manage stock queries.
- Ensure department standards and equipment functionality.
- Staff Management:
- Communicate critical information and set targets.
- Handle non-compliance issues and coach staff.
- Attend regional meetings and manage scheduling.
- Administration:
- Maintain equipment and general maintenance standards.
- Monitor waste and turnover, and ensure correct pricing and labeling.
- Systems:
- Scan for out-of-stocks and over-stocks.
- Use SAP for reports and stock management.
- Process waste and ensure accurate PID counting.
