Duties & Responsibilities
The Head of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s marketing strategy and plan to increase brand awareness and reach, create campaigns and content that drive audience resonance, drive customer acquisition through leads, drive innovation within the business, and work closely with the operational teams to ensure alignment of the brand strategy across the business. This role presents an opportunity to shape and execute both digital and traditional marketing strategies, contributing to the establishment of a trusted brand in the local market.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the South African target market, a thirst for knowledge and customer understanding, exceptional leadership skills, a flare for ideation and creative thinking, with a proven track record in managing successful marketing campaigns. Key responsibilities being:
- Develop and implement an effective marketing strategy aligned with company objectives.
- Balance short-term customer acquisition goals with long-term brand-building initiatives.
- Analyze and optimize the customer acquisition funnel, proposing improvements where necessary.
- Drive new customer acquisition and reactivation efforts in collaboration with Sales, Buying and operations.
- Plan, execute, and measure marketing campaigns to drive business growth.
- Monitor campaign outcomes, refine strategies as needed, and present reports to executive management.
- Continuously assess customer needs and propose solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, assess brand awareness, and monitor competitor activities.
- Maintain relationships with marketing partners and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Develop engaging online presence through all social media platforms.
- Collaborate with managers to prepare budgets and monitor expenses effectively.
- Drive and manage the online (e-commerce) platforms
- Manage and monitor service providers to ensure they are delivering the agreed outputs and continuously drive improvement.

Desired Experience & Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior marketing role, with a track record of successful marketing campaigns and team leadership.
• Strong understanding of current digital marketing techniques and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to think creatively and innovatively.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Strong reporting skills.
• Proficient in marketing software and tools (e.g., CRM systems, Google Analytics, social media platforms).
- Proven track record in identifying target audiences and devising effective digital campaigns.
- Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels.
- Strong organizational abilities with a focus on delivering impactful results.

Package & Remuneration
Salary R30,000 to R45,000 p/m
