Job Description

 

To understand the business environment and requirements in order to analyze data and provide relevant analytical and quantitative insights to business for operational, tactical and strategic decisioning.

 

 

Role Purpose

This role is within FNB Retail Sales Analytics, looking after the Campaign data life cycle. A key function in this role will entail collaborating with the contextual solutions and sales teams to design and implement data-driven experiments and tests to measure the impact of different campaign variables and tactics. The role will also include the creation of compelling and engaging visualizations, as well as presentations, that tell a clear and convincing story with data.
The successful incumbent will also support in the development and maintenance of dashboards and reports that provide insights to the performance and effectiveness of the contextual solutions and sales campaigns, such as Conversion rates, Customer acquisition costs and Retention rates. Further to this, the role will also involve finding, and communicating opportunities and providing recommendations to improve the contextual solutions and sales campaigns through the optimization of channels, content and messaging to the correct target audience.

You’ll be an ideal candidate if you:

  • Have strong SQL & SAS coding skills.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience within a similar environment
  • Self-driven and able to run with projects.
  • Hard working individual that can work well under pressure.

  • Meticulous: Can ensure the accuracy and completeness of data by checking, verifying, and confirming it. Also, able to document data processes and methodologies in a clear and consistent manner.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum Qualification – A tertiary qualification in a quantitative field such as Data science, Computer science, Mathematics, Finance, or Business analytics.
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 – 5 years’ relevant experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced coding skills in SQL & SAS is essential for this role.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in PowerBI will be an added advantage.
