Purpose Statement
- To initiate, monitor and control suitable debt recovery processes, to ensure the optimal realization of various collateral types held across all product offerings, in respect of the relevant non-performing loan portfolio.
- To provide specialist inputs (relating to Pre-legal Collections – Rehabilitation, insolvencies and deceased estates) towards:
- maximising recoveries and impairment releases
- minimising recovery costs and impairment raises
- Financial assessment, negotiation and restructure of distressed debt
Qualifications (Minimum)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law
Experience
Minimum:
- At least 3 – 5 years in a banking environment comprising of at least 2 years in a Collections / Recoveries space
Ideal:
- 5+ years in a banking environment comprising of 3+ years in a Collections / Recoveries space
Knowledge
Minimum:
- The whole credit life-cycle
- Broad business knowledge and acumen
- Insolvency legislation and processes
- Banking and Financial Services Industry
- Debt Recovery processes
- Collateral variants / types
Ideal:
- Understanding of:
- Commercial, business, and financial principles and practices
- Governance and risk management principles
- Data analytics
- Banking and Financial Services Industry
