We are looking for a Merchandiser – Retail Sales based in Pretoria. About the role Reporting to the Account Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for Merchandising. To maintain the standard required by the company within each store and ensure maximum exposure of the brand, thereby assisting in the sales and merchandising of products for the defined area.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Adhering to a route list ensuring regular calling and merchandising on existing customers
  • Upholding the merchandising standards set by the company. regarding  safety, category management, maximum product exposure
  • To secure and maintain shelf space (market share) as well as the negotiation of additional secondary space either on a shelf or in a display
  • Maintenance of customer relationships
  • Control and Maintenance of POS material and Merchandising tools
  • Erecting of displays
  • Reporting on and monitoring of opposition activity to representative and Sales Manager
  • Reporting on buying patterns/concerns/occurrences experienced in-store
  • Assist in promotional activity and the supporting of  promoters in-store

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • National Senior Certificate / Matric / Grade 12 Certificate (Completed)
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in FMCG merchandising/sales environment
  • Initiative and creativity
  • Good Communication skills
  • Thorough and accurate
  • Time management
  • Ability to work alone as and when required
  • Own Transport or the ability to use Public Transport to get to certain areas as and when required
