General Worker – Artisan Assistant

Role Purpose:

• To provide general assistance to maintenance Artisans

 

Required Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or equivalent literacy and numeric level or N3

 

Required Experience:

• Previous experience in a production environment, minimum of 3 months

 

Required Knowledge and Skills: 

• Basic Computer Literacy
• Physically fit – able to carry 50kg bags
• High level of honesty and integrity
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic hand tools experience
• Shift work and overtime

 

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Do daily line inspections and give feedback.
• Timeous reaction to breakdowns.
• Do mechanical maintenance.
• Factory lighting.
• Assist artisan overhauling and assembling equipment.
• Adhere to safety rules and regulations.
• Perform ad hoc tasks as required by Mill operations and/or designated by Mill Management.
