Come and join this dedicated team as a Senior Commercial Manager – Capital. The purpose of the role is to manage and coordinate the finance and performance management functions across all capital projects and SIB capital and to support the Projects Division.

Job Description:

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide valuable performance analysis and reporting to senior stakeholders on a timely basis.
  • Ensure key Capital business performance risks, issues and opportunities are highlighted to management.
  • Provide integrated Capital business performance management framework to ensure management understanding and regular review and challenge.
  • Act as an advocate and role model for understanding cost drivers and cost control.
  • Provide meaningful budgets, forecasts and options, integrated with core business processes such as strategy and Life of Mine where appropriate.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of external events which may impact business performance, e.g. competitor industry economics.
  • Foster best practice processes and sharing within the Performance Reporting team and wider Group.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance
  • Valid EB/Code 08 driver’s licence

Experience:

  • 7- 10 years’ relevant experience in a mining / industrial environment
  • Project management experience
  • Proven experience in a senior commercial/financial analysis and management role in a large mining/resources company
  • Analysis and benchmarking of financial/business data in a mining/heavy industry environment

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient knowledge in financial fundamentals, project management and Governance and compliance, applying business improvement techniques, practical application of the Operating Model (workflows, configurations, routines).
  • Advanced skills in the interpretation of benchmarks, development of targeted, effective plans to achieve measurable operational improvements.
  • Advance integration skills.
