KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Calculate new budget based on changes in respective plants.
  • Prepare presentation showing overall budget trend and KPI’s.
  • Maintain master data sheet by GL Account updated monthly.
  • Adjust forecast for financial implication of changes in operation.
  • Provide commentary for variances between actual, budget, forecast, prior forecast & prior year actual.
  • Finalize reallocations & accruals for outstanding expenses for the month & flex in line with changes.
  • Investigate trends, deviations from trends & anomalies.
  • Present to respective plants Senior Managers, General Manager and area Vice President
  • Identify potential efficiency improvements in each operation.
  • Track progress made on KPA’s highlighting actions taken, problems encountered, and results achieved.
  • Support management with ad hoc requests for information or analysis.

Cost Controller QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • NQF 6 (360 Credits), Degree or Diploma in Accounting
  • Minimum of 2-3 years in relevant Management and Financial Accounting/Costing experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to operate and interact at management levels.
  • Advanced computer literacy – MS Office Proficiency and Power BI (Essential)
  • Good business acumen and time management (Advantageous)
  • Analytical skills and Management Accounting principles (Essential)
