MANAGER: MARKETING, PRODUCT AND SALES STEERING
Manager: Marketing, Product and Sales Steering is responsible for directing all aspects of the BMW Group Financial Services marketing and product function in relation to the BMW Group FS’s brands, i.e. BMW, MINI, BMW and ALPHERA Financial Services and its Insurance portfolios.
The role further is responsible to formulate and direct:
- All Marketing communication functions, incl. Event Management
- All Customer Relationship Management functions within BMW SF
- Customer data analytics
- Sales administration, support and sales reporting, incl. Incentive Management
- Monitor and assess market trends and as a result, research, initiate and launch new products and overall Product Lifecycle Management
Marketing & CRM:
- Provide strategic direction, represent the BMW SF Brand in the ZA market and operational responsibility for the BMW SF Brands marketing activities including but not limited to brand communication, CRM, Event and Public Relations management
- Contributes to marketing effectiveness by identifying short term and long-term issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.
- Development of marketing strategies to improve / develop the presence of all the BMW Group SF brands in the marketplace.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to establish new products and programmes in the marketplace.
- Develop and manage integrated marketing communication plans for all BMW Group SF brands through the use of advertising, PR, online and digital channels, including social media.
- Increase brand presence and exposure within the marketplace for all brands and its dealerships through promotional events and point of sale activities.
- Effectively oversee management of dealer merchandising and point of sale material for all business lines.
- Co-ordinate with BMW Group SA (including BMW SA, MINI, Motorrad, CRM, IT, Dealerships) to develop joint retail marketing programmes that enhances overall BMW Group performance.
- Responsible for and custodian of BMW Group SF Corporate Identity for all brands, buildings and associates.
- Enhancing the understanding of the BMW Group SF Brand core values throughout the organisation, the retail network, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and execute marketing communication plans for SF3-ZA, in line with BMW Group SF core values.
- Identify tactical initiatives which increases sales volumes.
- Overall day to day management of dealer incentive programmes to fully leverage business opportunities, including development and execution of sprints for BMW, ALPHERA and Insurance Business Lines.
- Overall management and coordination of SF events
- Co-ordinate and manage customer satisfaction related research projects, including interpretation, presentation, development of action
- Co-ordinate and manage ad hoc market research projects.
- Fully leverage available data, through data analytics, to develop customer loyalty and conquest programmes.
- Leverage customer insight and collaborate closely with NSC and other SF teams to define a joint cross channel customer experience vision, and develop strategies and plans aligned to that over time.
- Drive the company’s customer retention strategy through various programmes e.g. retention, remarketing and other lead care programmes.
- Oversee the management and further development of the Company’s Retention Programme.
- Preparation of an annual budget and overall management and control of BMW-SF marketing budgets and marketing spend within agreed budgets.
- Plan, coordinate and manage tender processes for Incentive and Event Management agencies bi-annually, collaborate with NSC on Retail and other Marketing tender processes.
Products
- Provide strategic direction on the development and pricing of all SF products suitable for the ZA market
- Drive strategic decision-making processes and projects within product and campaign development
- Ensure all products and campaigns conform with legal and compliance requirements
- Responsible for the increase of efficiency, quality & time-to-market by set-up and development of lean processes
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional team within Financial Services and the National Sales Company on product developments and campaign management
Sales Steering
- Lead and support to steer SF incentive programme development and execution including monitoring effects and payments with team.
- Support to create SF weekly/monthly reports to be shared among SF, NSC and central team.
- Support Regional Managers with reports to steer retailer business
- REMA; ensure re-marketing of EoT and ex-Rentals units together with REMA team towards stock management.
Educational Background / Professional Knowledge
Bachelor Degree in Marketing or a related field
8 – 10 years experience within a similar function in the Financial Services and, preferable with vehicle industry related experience
5 years management experience
Additional skills: special skills / technical ability etc.
- Ability to create, evaluate and implement business plans.
- An understanding of market research principles and practices.
- Strong customer orientation and understanding of the needs of customers in a prestige environment.
- Well-developed mathematical, analytical and research skills.
- Advanced MS Excel skills & PowerPoint, sound understanding of MS Word
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
