SPECIALIST: FINANCE | BMW

Responsible for overall financial reporting, controlling as well as financial management of Motorplan & On-Call funds as well as Warranty for both Cars and Motorcycles.SPECIALIST: FINANCE | BMW

 

You will be responsible for the below:SPECIALIST: FINANCE | BMW

• Ensure all financial transactions related to area are correctly recorded in the financial records & month-end and year-end closure and reporting.
• Ensure full compliance with IFRS & tax legislation in area.
• Compilation of monthly management accounts & balance sheet reconciliations to allow for effective decision making based on the financial information.
• Preparation of forecasts, budgets and long-range plans.
• Reporting, steering and interrogation of Motorplan & On-Call Fund and Warranty provision, by liaising with Customer Support and the External Actuaries.
• Questioning and interrogating Motorplan Fund data & reports to ensure appropriate valuation results.
• Discussions/Investigations with external auditors on appropriate accounting and tax treatment.

• Continuous assessment, testing, documentation, and implementation of internal control processes (ICS) in the business as well as in finance.
• Steering of Customer Support department, External Actuaries and Auditors’ deliverables to ensure reporting deadlines are met.
• Digitalisation in the area.

• CA(SA)/CIMA is required.
• Excellent understanding of Accounting Principles.
• Excellent process and systems understanding.
• Critical Thinking and attention to detail.
• Problem Solving and implementation.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Minimum 3 years post article experience.
