IT technician

IT TECHNICIAN – WADEVILLE (4410)
Our client is seeking an experienced IT Administrator to join their team and manage their organization’s IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the functionality, security, and efficiency of their IT systems, networks, and software.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components, including servers, desktops, laptops, and network devices
• Monitor system performance and ensure reliable network connectivity
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide technical support to end-users
• Manage user accounts and permissions, as well as ensuring data security and backups
• Implement and maintain IT security measures to protect the organization against cybersecurity threats.
• Maintain and update documentation related to IT systems and procedures
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and procure necessary equipment or services.
• Evaluate and recommend technology upgrades and improvements to enhance system performance and efficiency.
• Stay updated on emerging IT trends, tools, and technologies and make recommendations for their integration into the organization’s IT infrastructure.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as an IT Administrator or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Proficiency in network administration and protocols
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) is a plus.
