Role Purpose:
To ensure adherence to Rainbow’s total integrated management system and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor quality of products by observing on line practices and completion of necessary check sheets.
- Conduct observations and tests on poultry products to ensure that specifications are met in terms of pick-ups, quality standards and meat safety.
- Conduct daily microbiological surveys and product sampling.
- Report deviations and advise corrective actions to Processing and Engineering departments when required.
- Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions and escalate to higher authority if not actioned.
- Observes that employees on the line adhere to ISO, GMP and HACCP practices and advise on necessary corrective action required when contravened.
- Monitors and ensures adherence to contractual customer specific, regulatory and internal requirements as per specifications.
- Practices good housekeeping in their areas of work.
Required Qualifications:
- Grade 12 with Maths & Science.
- Candidates with a Poultry Meat Examiners (PME) qualification preferred.
Required Experience:
- Previous experience in a Quality Assurance environment will be advantageous.
- Experience in a FMCG environment.
