Responsible for the operation of all the packaging equipment in order to ensure efficient and effective achievement of the packaging objectives on productivity, cost, quality, safety and morale. Monitor packaging process and ensure compliance to quality management processes and standards; Conduct the necessary quality tests applicable to their area, in consultation with the quality department; Ensure the availability and the quality of all packaging materials before embarking on productionactivities; Carry out all applicable autonomous maintenance activities on the equipment at the prescribed intervals and according to CILT, safety and housekeeping (5S) standards; Carry out cleaning activities on the packaging equipment and surrounding areas; Participate in equipment breakdown resolution activities; PM activities and other equipment and plant overhauls/shutdowns, as directed by Line Management and/or Maintenance staff, during such activities; Participate in TPM activities and teams as directed by Line Management; Ensure the up keep of good morale in the company by adhering to all safety policies and procedures; observing company rules and regulations such as attendance, time keeping, code of conduct and high performance guidelines; Observe any other reasonable expectations as prescribed by the company management. A relevant technical qualification at N3 level, and/or; An NQF Level 3 qualification in beverage manufacturing; A Technical Diploma (N6) in Electrical/ Mechanical/Electro-mechanical engineering other equivalent (such as S4) qualification will be an added advantage. 2-5 years working experience in an FMCG or beverage manufacturing environment. Experience on high speed packaging lines is essential
