ROLE PURPOSE

To carry out timeous and quality planned, preventive and emergency maintenance on all specified equipment, to give to the business maintenance strategy and client service standards as handyman for either Electrical/Mechanical.

MAIN OUTPUTS

  • Fulfill requirements of the job cards as per client and company requirements, ensure all equipment is serviced in accordance with schedule, preventive or emergency fault rectification complies with legislation, SLA and job plans as Handyman.
  • Effecting investigations, evaluation and restorations of problems identified inclusive of hazards as per new SLA (Phase 2,3, and 4).
  • Provide constant feedback to the Facilities Manager/Service Manager/Building Manager /Commercial Coordinator on restoration status of operations
  • Offer timeous completion of field request; report all irregular occurrences to the maintenance control center and/or SM/FM/RC.
  • Assist the Artisan with major repairs and services
  • Undertake other related duties and assignments as assigned from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

The Applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • Matric (Senior Certificate)
  • N3 Technical (Electrical/Mechanical)
  • Valid SA Driver’s License
  • 3yrs relevant experience in Electrical/Mechanical maintenance environment
  • basic, Intermediate and Advanced level on either Electrical/Mechanical(HVAC)
  • Safe Handling of Refrigerants
  • Fault findings on air conditioners/chillers/freezers
  • Piping, re-gasing, maintenance of air condition/freezers
  • Electrical circuitry of air conditioners (single and 3 phase)
  • Cable Dehydration
  • Product training (Hyross)
  • Worked under supervision of a competent artisan for more than 3 years on HVAC systems
  • Understanding new SLA requirements and how to use Hand-Held and time sheets
  • Computer literacy and Hand-held device
  • Knowledge of OHS Act & ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
