Enrolled Nurse – Night Shift
A retirement village based in Durban North has a vacancy for an Enrolled Nurse to work night shifts in their Care Centre. This is a full time permanent position.

Minimum Requirements:
1) Current Registration with the South African Nursing Council
2) Minimum of 4 years as a Registered Nurse with at least 1 year’s experience as a Geriatric Nurse
2) Experience in supervising care givers and/or nursing staff
3) Computer skills essential.
4) Understanding of the Older Persons Act
5) Previous experience working in a care centre preferable

The main duties include
1) Assist with the efficient and effective day to day management of the Care Centre ensuring physical, emotional and psychological well-being of its residents and staff by carrying out nursing duties according to the scope and practice of an Enrolled (Staff) Nurse.
2) Providing on-going training and guidance to care-givers
3) Managing the Care Centre in the absence of the Professional Nurse
4) Maintain patients records accuratley
5) Liaise with patients families and provide information and guidance as required.
