The Sales Agent role at Motor Happy, Edenvale provides an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and target-driven sales environment, helping clients secure comprehensive insurance solutions while building lasting customer relationships.
Position Overview
The Sales Agent will be responsible for selling comprehensive and related insurance products, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring accurate policy administration. This role requires strong communication, negotiation, and customer-focused skills while working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate resilience, professionalism, and a strong understanding of short-term insurance products, ensuring clients receive optimal guidance and service.
Key Responsibilities

Promote and sell comprehensive insurance policies to new and existing clients

Handle customer inquiries, providing accurate product information and guidance

Follow up on leads and convert opportunities into successful sales

Deliver service excellence through multiple communication channels, including phone, email, and in-person

Assist clients with policy documentation, claims processing, and total loss procedures

Maintain accurate records and data entry for all customer interactions

Meet and exceed sales targets while adhering to compliance and regulatory requirements

Collaborate with team members to drive business success

Work flexible hours when necessary to meet client needs
Minimum Requirements
Education and Qualifications

Grade 12 / NQF Level 4

Full FAIS and RE5 qualifications preferred
Experience and Skills

Minimum 2–3 years sales experience, preferably in insurance or financial services

Previous exposure to short-term insurance advantageous

Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills

Excellent verbal and written communication, with professional telephone etiquette

Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work under pressure

Bilingual or multilingual candidates are advantageous

High attention to detail and accuracy

Computer literate: MS Word, Excel, Outlook

Reliable transport and valid driver’s license
