Position Overview
The Vehicle Inspection Specialist is responsible for inspecting and assessing vehicles to determine cosmetic, mechanical, and accident-related repairs, ensuring that all vehicles meet retail-ready standards according to getWorth brand requirements.
This role requires meticulous attention to detail, professional judgment, and effective communication to guide the Vehicle Acquisition Specialist and ensure consistent quality and throughput of inspected vehicles.
Minimum Requirements
Education and Training

Matric / Grade 12 (essential)

Relevant automotive certifications advantageous
Work Experience
-
Minimum 3 years’ experience in vehicle inspection, automotive quality control, or similar roles

Demonstrated ability to inspect, test-drive, and assess vehicles for mechanical, cosmetic, and safety compliance
Licensing and Other Requirements

Valid Driver’s License (Code 08)

Fluent in English, with additional languages (Xhosa, Zulu, Afrikaans) advantageous

Key Performance Areas

Inspect and test-drive vehicles, completing inspection forms as per company policy and procedures

Assess cosmetic, mechanical, and accident-related issues to determine necessary reconditioning

Ensure vehicles are prepared for roadworthy certification and retail readiness

Transport vehicles to/from suppliers and recon facilities as required

Coordinate with Logistics, Sales, and Acquisition teams to maintain operational efficiency

Support operational ad hoc tasks as needed
