Position Overview
Hollard Insure is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join its Claims Procurement Department. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and monitoring the performance of service providers and suppliers related to both Motor and Non-Motor claims.
This role focuses on ensuring compliance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across procurement operations, while delivering exceptional customer experiences in line with Hollard’s values and strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in procurement, supplier management, and claims operations, coupled with strong analytical and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities

Implement and execute the Motor and Non-Motor Claims Supplier Management Strategy in line with Hollard Insure’s procurement goals.

Review and analyse management information to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Support key stakeholders with budget forecasting and commodity-based insights.

Identify and develop strategies that drive cost efficiency and operational excellence.

Conduct benchmarking, pricing reviews, and negotiation sessions with internal and external partners.

Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance standards, and industry regulations.

Manage and report on supplier performance, cost drivers, and service delivery standards.

Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly dashboards, performance reports, and KPI summaries.

Identify and investigate irregularities in procurement data and recommend corrective actions.

Support corporate social responsibility initiatives aligned with Hollard’s transformation objectives.

Ensure Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles are embedded within all procurement practices.

Maintain exceptional service standards for internal and external stakeholders at all times.
Minimum Requirements
-
Matric / Grade 12 Certificate.
-
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field.

CIPS or MCIPS certification (advantageous).

Minimum of 8–10 years’ experience in Claims, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management.

Proven project management experience with a results-oriented approach.

Strong understanding of procurement and supplier governance frameworks.

Sound knowledge of the Transformation ecosystem, including B-BBEE and social impact considerations.

Awareness of socio-economic and political factors influencing supplier diversity and inclusion.

Excellent communication, analytical, and reporting skills.

Advanced MS Excel and procurement software proficiency.
