Position Overview

The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring that both Tier 1 (T1) and Tier 2 (T2) load plans are executed efficiently. The role focuses on meeting internal and external customer service levels, maintaining high inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with DPO (Distribution Process Optimization) standards.

This position is ideal for a results-driven individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

  • Lead and perform morning inventory counts and ensure accurate recordkeeping.

  • Identify and resolve root causes of inventory variances using problem-solving tools.

  • Improve Inventory Accuracy KPIs through structured corrective actions.

  • Ensure all stock movements are accurately reflected in the SAP system at all times.

  • Drive compliance with FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles and DPO warehouse standards.

Warehouse Layout and Zone Management

  • Maintain warehouse zoning for efficient operations – including Empties, Refusals, Order Picking, Repacking, and Finished Goods areas.

  • Ensure all layout adjustments align with warehouse activity plans and safety standards.

Quality Assurance

  • Maintain at least 75% compliance with the Global Warehouse Operating Procedures (GOP).

  • Manage warehouse cleanliness, pest control, and temperature control routines.

  • Prevent cross-contamination and uphold non-food grade chemical standards.

  • Conduct product quality inductions and oversee repacking processes for compliance.

Operational Excellence

  • Implement and track 5S Standards to improve efficiency and organisation.

  • Manage productivity by monitoring warehouse labour performance against KPIs.

  • Allocate manpower effectively using the SKAP tool to optimize workflow.

  • Drive continuous improvement through tools like 5 WHY, PDCA, and Abnormality Reports.

Safety and Compliance

  • Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and warehouse best practices.

  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among all staff.

  • Oversee safe and efficient loading and unloading processes.

  • Track safety KPIs such as cycle time, bay utilisation, and productivity ratios.

Performance Management

  • Conduct team meetings to review progress against performance indicators.

  • Cascade KPI and PI targets to individual team members for accountability.

  • Use management routines to ensure consistent performance tracking and improvement.

  • Support warehouse management system documentation including SOPs, RACI charts, and training records.


Minimum Requirements

  • A relevant 3-year diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations Management.

  • At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics supervisory capacity.

  • Advanced computer skills with proficiency in SAP, MS Office, Oasis, and handheld inventory devices.

  • Strong leadership, planning, and analytical skills.

  • Proven ability to work under pressure and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching capabilities.
