About the Role

 

As a Junior Administrative Clerk, you will be the backbone of our data and valuations support administration. Your primary mission will be to ensure the smooth and accurate flow of information across our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and to provide essential support to various business units. This 10-month contract role is perfect for someone looking to apply their administrative skills in a professional government environment.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • ERP Data Administration:
    • Accurately capture and maintain critical data within our ERP systems.
    • Manage and update records diligently, ensuring data integrity and security.
    • Act as a first point of contact for resolving or escalating any ERP-related queries to ensure seamless operations.
  • Valuations Support Administration:
    • Professionally manage and record issues raised by clients, ensuring every query is logged and tracked.
    • Collaborate with your supervisor to investigate and facilitate the timely resolution of client issues.
    • Create and maintain detailed status reports on all client-raised matters.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation Support:
    • Work closely with other business units to compile and update a comprehensive portfolio of evidence.
    • Ensure all documentation is correctly filed and easily accessible for senior management and key stakeholders.
  • General Administrative Duties:
    • Provide reliable clerical and office support across the organization, assisting with various tasks as needed to ensure operational efficiency.

 

What We Offer

 

  • Contract Type: Ten (10) months Fixed Term Contract
  • Salary Level: R220,961.62 per annum (Public Service Level 05)
  • Benefits: This position includes an additional 37% cash payment in lieu of benefits, significantly increasing your take-home pay. This is added to your monthly salary instead of traditional pension and medical aid contributions.

 

Who We Are Looking For: Requirements & Skills

 

To be successful in this role, you will need a combination of formal qualifications and practical skills.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Formal Qualification: A NQF Level 5 Certificate or National Diploma in Business Administration, Office Administration, Public Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of experience in an administrative, clerical, or office support position will be a strong advantage.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential.
  • Administrative Skills: Strong planning, organising, and report-writing abilities.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Personal Attributes: A high level of attention to detail, resilience, discipline, and the ability to manage stress in a dynamic environment.
