The Polokwane branch is seeking a motivated and skilled Repairs Technician to join the technical department and contribute to the servicing, maintenance, and repairs of machinery.
Role Overview
The Repairs Technician will play a crucial role in servicing and repairing tools, machinery, and equipment. This hands-on position requires someone who is technically inclined, good with their hands, and passionate about problem-solving. The role covers a wide variety of machinery, from small petrol and diesel engines to power tools and garden equipment.
Applicants should have practical repair experience and strong technical knowledge. Hands-on knowledge of products such as generators, compressors, welding machines, pumps, and a wide range of power tools is essential. This is a role that combines technical skill, troubleshooting ability, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct pre-delivery inspections on machinery and tools to ensure products are ready for customer use

Perform regular servicing and preventative maintenance on tools and machinery

Repair and troubleshoot faults in petrol and diesel engines, power tools, compressors, welding machines, and pumps

Maintain high housekeeping standards by keeping the workshop and maintenance areas clean and organized

Requisition spare parts and consumables while maintaining proper safekeeping of stock

Provide technical advice and support to customers when necessary

Work independently and manage multiple repair tasks efficiently

Ensure adherence to safety procedures and company standards during all repair processes
Qualifications and Skills

Senior Certificate (Matric) required
-
At least 2 years of hands-on technical repair experience in tools, machinery, or mechanical systems

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Must be detail-oriented with the ability to identify and resolve faults quickly

Strong mechanical knowledge and technical aptitude

Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with customers

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Highly motivated and reliable
-
Proficiency in reading and writing in English
Desired Work Experience

2 to 5 years’ experience in maintenance and repair of machinery, tools, or mechanical systems

Proven track record of working with small engines, petrol/diesel generators, power tools, or garden machinery
Working Hours and Conditions

Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:00

Saturday: 08:00 – 13:00
