Role Overview
GALXBOY is looking for energetic and customer-focused Sales Assistants to join the team at Highveld Mall in Emalahleni for the upcoming festive season. This fixed-term opportunity runs from 1 November 2025 to 31 January 2026 and is ideal for individuals who are passionate about retail, fashion, and delivering excellent customer service.
The role requires a dynamic individual who thrives in high-pressure retail environments, especially during peak trade periods such as holidays, extended shopping hours, and high customer traffic. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in shaping the customer experience, ensuring the store maintains its vibrant and welcoming atmosphere while supporting sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers, understanding their needs, and providing style advice.
- Represent GALXBOY’s brand culture through professional interactions and strong product knowledge.
- Assist with visual merchandising to ensure the store looks appealing, organized, and aligned with brand standards.
- Keep up to date with the latest product drops, fabrics, and styles to provide informed recommendations.
- Support store operations during peak trade, including managing queues, handling exchanges and returns, and working efficiently under pressure.
- Maintain cleanliness, stock replenishment, and order in the store to create a pleasant shopping environment.
- Be flexible and available to work weekends, holidays, and late shifts when required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric certificate or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Retail experience is advantageous but not mandatory; energy, enthusiasm, and customer service skills are the most important.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural ability to engage with people.
- Passion for fashion, streetwear, and cultural trends.
- Tech-savvy and able to quickly adapt to POS systems and in-store technologies.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
