Role Overview

The Fidelity ADT branch in Pretoria, Gauteng is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Branch Manager to lead and oversee the performance and development of all operational, sales, technical, and administrative functions. This is a mid-senior level permanent position ideally suited for an individual with extensive management experience, strong financial acumen, and a firm understanding of the security industry.

The primary purpose of this role is to manage the end-to-end business operations of the branch while ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals. The role also emphasizes crime prevention, client engagement, people management, profitability, and continuous performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy

  • Provide strong, motivational leadership to all teams within the branch.
  • Promote and communicate the vision, goals, and performance metrics of the branch.
  • Make sound, strategic decisions to ensure the long-term success of the branch.

Finance and Planning

  • Prepare and submit annual business plans and budgets.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting to align with financial goals.
  • Manage the branch’s profit and loss (P&L) to ensure sustainability and growth.
  • Oversee collections to ensure financial stability of the operation.

Sales Management

  • Drive achievement of all branch sales targets.
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers for sales forecasting by region.
  • Support Sales Consultants to exceed individual targets.
  • Address and resolve client complaints to improve client satisfaction.

Dealer and IIP Engagement

  • Achieve targeted Dealer and IIP sales metrics.
  • Recruit, onboard, and support new Dealers and Independent Installation Partners.
  • Integrate these external partners into the branch’s growth strategy.

Operations Oversight

  • Ensure optimal planning and production controls across all business functions.
  • Manage operational efficiency, productivity, and customer service.
  • Oversee all Area Managers and guarantee high standards across operational teams.
  • Drive a proactive, community-based service model.
  • Personally attend all client visits involving contact crime cases.

Marketing and Customer Perception

  • Lead marketing activations and improve customer perception metrics.
  • Foster a culture of content creation and social media engagement.
  • Implement Over-the-Top (OTT) marketing strategies and measure effectiveness.

Commercial Development

  • Regularly evaluate customer needs and feedback for product alignment.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and sales teams.
  • Identify and exploit new product or market opportunities.

People and HR Management

  • Oversee HR matters including staff recruitment, coaching, and development.
  • Identify training needs and ensure the team evolves with market demands.
  • Build and manage effective, high-performance teams.

Business Development and Attrition Control

  • Identify and close bulk business and residential guarding opportunities.
  • Manage attrition metrics and drive reconnection strategies.
  • Mitigate exposure to bad debt and maintain a strong customer retention plan.

Health, Safety, and Compliance

  • Uphold health and safety policies.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate standards, national legislation, and best practices.

Minimum Requirements

  • Post-matric qualification in General Management (advantageous)
  • Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management (advantageous)
  • 3+ years of experience in mid-management roles
  • Grade B PSIRA Security Certificate (required or must be obtained)
  • Proven knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and profit & loss management
  • Previous experience in the security industry is preferred
  • Strong computer skills including MS Excel and PowerPoint
