Role Overview
The Construction Supervisor position is a vital contract role based in the North West province, focusing on the supervision of concrete structures within a high-performance construction environment. This role ensures that operational tasks are executed safely, effectively, and within required specifications while supporting the Site Agent and Project Manager with performance tracking and team coordination.
The position is suited for a qualified professional with experience in construction supervision, a strong understanding of technical drawings, and proven leadership skills. You will be responsible for both executing tasks and supervising teams to ensure timely delivery and compliance with Fraser Alexander’s safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise the construction of multiple concrete structures in accordance with set design standards and schedules.

Ensure materials and equipment are used cost-effectively and in compliance with standard operating procedures.

Support Quantity Surveyors (QS) with on-site measurements and recording tasks as needed.

Take accountability for the operational execution of construction tasks and coordinate team members during shifts.

Provide input and accurate information to the Site Agent to assist with client liaison activities.

Liaise with team leaders and operators regarding progress, quality, performance, and construction methods.

Verify drawings and material quantities, ensuring accuracy in measurements and alignment with project goals.

Keep daily and weekly reports updated, and track actual progress against the project programme.

Maintain proper site office documentation, including required posters and compliance displays.

Ensure all construction activities are aligned with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) standards and legislative requirements.
Minimum Qualifications

Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate is required.

Supervisor training certificate is advantageous and will strengthen your application.
Experience and Technical Knowledge

A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the construction sector.

Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and construction documentation.

Strong knowledge of construction materials, machinery, and methods.

Previous involvement in on-site planning and project reporting.
