Role Overview
Brights Hardware is seeking an efficient and organised Admin Clerk – Stock/Receiving to join their team in Richmond Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, overseeing receiving and dispatch processes, assisting with customer service, and ensuring strict adherence to operational procedures. This role is key to maintaining stock integrity and providing the high standard of service that Brights Hardware is known for.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and control daily, weekly, and monthly stocktakes and cycle counts across departments
Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with operational standards
Accurately receive, dispatch, and record stock based on supplier invoices
Investigate stock discrepancies and collaborate with stock controllers to reconcile system and physical stock
Verify and manage internal stock deliveries to ensure correct placement and dispatch to relevant drivers
Ensure all items are properly scanned before dispatch to departments to maintain inventory accuracy
Review and verify credit slips, addressing discrepancies proactively or as instructed by management
Coordinate efficient dispatch of stock to relevant departments
Assist in the Drive-Thru as a cashier, ensuring accuracy and excellent customer service
Maintain a clean and organised work area at all times
Participate in perpetual stock takes and support inventory control
Perform any work-related tasks as delegated by superiors
Requirements
Matric Certificate or a minimum of 3 completed Intercept courses totaling 120 credits
At least 1 year of experience in a similar stock or receiving role
Completion of Brights Induction for service excellence
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
High level of awareness, vigilance, and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
Numerical ability and strong organisational skills
Capability to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
Willingness to work flexible hours, including holidays, as required by business needs
