Role Overview
Premier FMCG is seeking a reliable and hard-working General Worker Crate Washer to join the Production team at their BRB Cape Town site. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the production environment by ensuring all crates are thoroughly washed and sanitized. This position is ideal for individuals who are team-oriented, take pride in their work, and can perform physical tasks in a demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities
Execute daily production targets in line with departmental requirements
Ensure high housekeeping standards within the production area at all times
Adhere to all company rules, procedures, and safety regulations
Maintain the integrity and quality of all products handled
Perform routine cleaning and washing of crates to hygiene standards
Comply with planned maintenance schedules for assigned equipment and assets
Ensure proper record-keeping and administration related to production processes
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for hygiene, food safety, and housekeeping
Strictly comply with all Food Safety regulations and requirements
Adhere to Health and Safety protocols, reporting hazards as necessary
Qualification Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent educational qualification
Experience Requirements
Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is advantageous
Familiarity with hygiene and food safety standards will be beneficial
Other Requirements
Willingness to work rotational shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, and night shifts as required
Ability to work in hot manufacturing conditions
Physical fitness to perform manual labour and repetitive tasks
