Role Overview
The Groceries Division of RCL FOODS is seeking a reliable and experienced Inward Handling Co-Ordinator to join the team based in Randfontein. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the effective intake, safe storage, and handling of raw materials on-site. Reporting to the Raw Materials Co-Ordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining site cleanliness, adhering to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and leading a team in line with company policies.
This role is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills, knowledge of inward logistics, and experience in raw material handling within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee the offloading of raw materials and resolve any problems, reporting deviations to the Raw Materials Co-Ordinator.

Ensure the safe storage and handling of raw materials at offloading points and warehouses.

Maintain strict hygiene standards by ensuring all raw materials are offloaded from clean, hygienic vehicles.

Liaise with plant managers regarding raw material movements on-site to ensure efficient operations.

Supervise and coordinate all internal stock movements to guarantee timely, accurate processes.

Uphold housekeeping standards and ensure full compliance with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) requirements.

Collect and load by-products and waste products as per company standards.

Assist the laboratory with raw material sampling, ensuring all vehicles are sampled and approved.

Support the Raw Material Team with regular stock takes.

Lead and manage the loading/offloading and cleaning teams, taking corrective action as required in accordance with company policies.

Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure intake and waste storage areas are inspected and maintained to the highest standard.

Maintain site cleanliness throughout the day, ensuring all waste is removed promptly.

Communicate leave schedules and overtime requirements to the Raw Materials Co-Ordinator.
Qualifications and Experience

Grade 12 / Matric qualification is essential.

Working knowledge of Syspro, SAP, and MS Office is advantageous.

A solid understanding of inward logistics and raw material handling processes.

A forklift license or experience as a forklift driver is beneficial.

Previous experience in a supervisory role within a similar environment is highly advantageous.
