Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Receiving Supervisor to join our logistics team at our Edenvale site in Gauteng. This critical position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of receiving operations, managing warehouse staff, and maintaining high standards of compliance and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct blind checks for all inbound stock movements to ensure accuracy

Supervise and manage warehouse operators involved in the receiving process

Report and resolve discrepancies or damages in received goods

Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve receiving issues
-
Ensure full compliance with safety protocols, especially for fragile or hazardous items
-
Maintain accurate documentation and records for inventory control and financial purposes
-
Optimise receiving workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce errors
-
Enforce company policies and compliance standards in all receiving activities
-
Monitor truck turnaround times and communicate areas for improvement

Promote a safe work environment by enforcing PPE usage and safety protocols

Conduct regular team meetings and provide coaching and training as required

Manage time, attendance, leave planning, and address performance issues within the team

Drive the achievement of team targets and operational goals
Qualifications and Experience Required
-
Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent is essential
-
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar Receiving, Warehouse, or Logistics Supervisor role
-
Experience within the FMCG or Retail sector is highly advantageous

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems

High attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organisational skills
