Key Responsibilities

• Operate Packing Machines: Package finished products on various automated and semi-automated packing machines, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

• Production Targets: Meet or exceed production throughput requirements per shift, maintaining efficient workflow.

• Quality Monitoring: Conduct continuous quality checks on packaged goods, record results, and take corrective actions where necessary.

• Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, food-safe, and hygienic work area at all times in line with GMP and OHS standards.

• Downtime Reporting: Report all production downtime promptly to your supervisor or manager and accurately record and analyse downtime reasons.

• Deep Cleaning & Sanitation: Perform scheduled deep cleaning of machines and production areas to prevent contamination.

• Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist with random tasks and projects assigned by the Head of Department (HOD).

• INVOCOM™ Participation: Actively participate in INVOCOM™ continuous improvement meetings and facilitate implementation of agreed actions.

Qualification Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in a milling environment or ProMix plant operations.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with production and maintenance teams.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict production deadlines.

• Flexibility to work overtime and shift schedules, including weekends and public holidays.

• Excellent planning, organising, and controlling abilities to manage workloads efficiently.

• Accuracy and attention to detail when setting up machines and inspecting products.

• Solid problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machine issues and process anomalies.

• Good numerical ability for accurate measurement, documentation, and reporting.
