Role Overview: Cashier (Pipeline Position)
As a Cashier at Pedros, you’ll be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer service experience while ensuring accurate and efficient handling of customer orders and transactions. This role is crucial in maintaining customer satisfaction, processing payments, and contributing to store profitability through upselling and suggestive selling techniques.
Key Responsibilities

Greet and serve customers with warmth and efficiency at the point of sale

Accurately process customer transactions using the POS system in line with Pedros’ standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Ensure orders are correctly captured and communicated to the kitchen team

Promote ongoing in-store promotions to customers and actively upsell to increase transaction value

Maintain fast and consistent service, even during peak periods

Keep the front counter area clean, hygienic, and organized at all times

Monitor front-of-house stock levels and report replenishment needs promptly

Resolve minor customer concerns professionally and escalate where necessary
Minimum Requirements
-
Senior Certificate (Matric) is required

At least 1 year of experience as a cashier, preferably in a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) environment

Excellent literacy and numeracy skills

Strong verbal communication and interpersonal abilities
-
High attention to detail and accuracy when handling cash and card transactions

Ability to maintain speed and composure in high-pressure customer service environments

Must be flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
