Role Overview: Administration Clerk – Information Management

We seek a motivated Administration Clerk to support Health Information Management through accurate data handling, record keeping, and administrative assistance within the Metro Health Services.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage data capturing, scanning, and collation, ensuring accurate submission to relevant departments.

  • Assist with data quality control, including validation, verification, and trend analysis.

  • Provide administrative support such as minute taking, filing, copying, and organizing logistical arrangements.

  • Aid in the preparation of presentations and reports for information management purposes.

  • Support training for Information Management and HAST clerks at facility level.

  • Assist with internal and external audits and ICT requests as needed.


Minimum Requirements

  • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.

  • Experience in Health Information Management and related health information systems.

  • Valid Code B/EB driver’s license.

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including under pressure.

  • Attention to detail with strong data management skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with health data protocols.

  • Good problem-solving skills and proactive attitude.

  • Strong computer literacy and adaptability to new software tools.
