ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Sr Information Security Researcher, you will play a key role in identifying, analyzing, and documenting vulnerabilities, leaks, and cyber threats while working closely with Mediatech’s editorial, technical, and product teams. This is a hands-on, investigative position for a seasoned cybersecurity professional who thrives in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform deep-dive research and technical analysis of cybersecurity tools, services, and security vulnerabilities.

Conduct hands-on testing and fact-checking to verify product features and technical claims.

Work in tandem with the editorial and SEO teams to ensure the publication of accurate, expert-validated technical content.

Stay abreast of infosec trends, threat intelligence reports, zero-day vulnerabilities, and global threat actor tactics.

Support internal teams with actionable cybersecurity insights to improve platform and product security.

Contribute to vulnerability research, reverse engineering, and scripting tasks (e.g., Bash, Python).

Leverage your system administration experience to assist in infrastructure security and test environments.

Promote cybersecurity awareness across the organization and support knowledge sharing initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Required Skills and Background:

Extensive hands-on experience with penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and cybersecurity tools.

Proven record of technical writing, research, or content verification in cybersecurity or tech journalism is a major plus.

Proficiency in reverse engineering, scripting (Python, Bash, etc.), and basic system administration.

Deep understanding of exploit development, threat modeling, and secure coding principles.

Excellent analytical and research skills, with the ability to distill complex topics into clear, practical insights.

Strong interpersonal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple projects independently in a remote-first environment.

COMPENSATION
