ABOUT THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join a dynamic retail team in White River. This full-time role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about customer service and looking to gain hands-on retail experience with room for growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assisting customers on the shop floor with queries, purchases, and general product knowledge

Operating point of sale systems and handling cash/credit transactions accurately

Restocking shelves, monitoring inventory, and ensuring the store is tidy and organized

Supporting promotional campaigns and merchandising efforts

Maintaining excellent customer service and ensuring a welcoming shopping environment

Working collaboratively with team members to meet sales targets and daily operational goals
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Matric Certificate or an equivalent NQF qualification

At least 6 months of retail experience (essential)

A positive and friendly attitude with a willingness to assist customers

Good communication skills (verbal and written)

Ability to work as a team player

Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service under pressure

Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
