ROLE OVERVIEW

The Picker Packer plays a critical part in the warehousing and distribution function. The primary responsibility is to prepare and split pallets accurately, ensure that goods are picked and packed to specification, and uphold product integrity and health and safety standards. As a Picker Packer, your attention to detail, sense of responsibility, and adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) stock principles are essential in maintaining the quality and efficiency that Twizza customers expect.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and split pallets as instructed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to operational standards

  • Inspect and use pallets and boards in good condition only

  • Apply the FIFO method consistently during all picking tasks

  • Record accurate dates on picking slips and ensure slips are signed off

  • Handle all stock carefully to prevent damages and spoilage

  • Pick products strictly according to allocated picking slips, ensuring product shelf-life requirements, rotation policies, and quality guidelines are followed

  • Stabilise picked stock securely for safe transportation and delivery

  • Sort incoming pallets and boards for reuse, maintaining supply of good-quality packing materials

  • Follow all company health and safety standards rigorously, including use of PPE

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment throughout the shift

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Educational Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12 Certificate

Work Experience

  • Previous experience in stock control or warehouse operations is advantageous

  • Knowledge of picking systems and pallet management is a strong asset

  • Experience in working in high-volume FMCG or warehouse environments preferred
