Role Overview
Econo Foods is looking for a Warehouse Operator: Bulk based in Bloemfontein (East End) to join our logistics team. This role is essential to maintaining an efficient inbound logistics operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the offloading, labeling, storage, and replenishment of bulk inventory, ensuring optimal stock rotation, freshness, and warehouse safety standards. Key Responsibilities
The core responsibilities include offloading all incoming products and accurately recording their age to maintain inventory traceability. The role requires consistent product inspection for packaging integrity and quality, and the generation and placement of appropriate product labels on pallets. You will manage the correct storage of products in designated areas, replenish pick lines to maintain workflow efficiency, and implement proper stock rotation procedures. Equipment inspections must be carried out regularly to ensure safe operations. Any concerns regarding product damage or labeling issues must be reported to the relevant Controller. All responsibilities must be completed in strict adherence to safety procedures, using the correct personal protective equipment (PPE). The operator will also contribute to the overall success of the team by working collaboratively and maintaining high levels of safety compliance and operational excellence.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent, along with 1 to 3 years of proven experience in a similar logistics or warehouse role. Experience within the FMCG retail industry is highly advantageous. A valid Electric Pallet Jack License and a Forklift License are essential for this role.
