ROLE OVERVIEW
The Warehouse Controller is responsible for implementing SAB’s safety standards while managing the inventory and warehousing functions to optimize customer service levels and meet benchmarked productivity goals. This role demands leadership in operational excellence, process standardization, and budget management to ensure efficient warehouse performance aligned with SAB’s DPO standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety and Compliance:
-
Ensure full compliance to 5S standards within the warehouse operation.

Cascade global policies and drive adherence among warehouse teams.
-
Implement and monitor management cycles, including business descriptions, SLAs, process maps, and KPIs.
-
Conduct routine team meetings and maintain problem-solving frameworks like 5 WHY, PDCA, SIC, and OPLs to improve performance indicators.

Inventory Management:
-
Oversee daily inventory counts ensuring strict compliance to inventory and quality policies.

Manage destruction and write-off processes for obsolete stock in line with legal and environmental guidelines.

Identify root causes of inventory variances and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy KPIs.

Track supply chain overheads and stock age KPIs, taking necessary action to reduce costs.

Warehouse Layout & Efficiency:
-
Maintain layout compliance for zones such as Empties, Refusal, Order Picking, Repack, and Finished Goods.

Track and improve ABC compliance and ensure safety processes are followed meticulously.

Conduct time and motion studies to improve warehouse efficiency and throughput.

Quality and Repacking Management:

Manage warehouse cleanliness, pest control, cross-contamination prevention, temperature control, and product exposure.

Ensure 75% compliance with Global Warehouse GOP standards.

Track sorting processes and broken cases to reduce breakage costs and improve sorting productivity.

Drive quality induction training programs achieving 100% staff compliance.

Picking Operations:

Enforce standardized picking processes and ensure ergonomic, safe layouts to minimize manual machine interactions.

Monitor picking KPIs such as cases per man-hour and replenishment adherence for ongoing productivity improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Relevant 3-year diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field

Minimum 3 years’ experience in warehouse or logistics management preferred

High proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, Oasis, and handheld warehouse devices
