Role Overview

G4S Cash Solutions is hiring a dedicated ATM Custodian in Boksburg for pipeline talent purposes. Reporting directly to the Planner, the successful candidate will ensure that ATMs are efficiently stocked, properly maintained, and fully operational at all times. This position is vital to maintaining ATM uptime, ensuring availability for customers, and safeguarding large sums of cash in transit and at client premises.

Applicants must understand the responsibility that comes with handling firearms and live cash and must be medically fit and PSIRA compliant. Key Responsibilities

ATM Uptime Management

• Replenish ATMs with cash and stationery as instructed

• Liaise closely with the control centre to address equipment or service issues quickly

• Identify and act on faults that could lead to ATM malfunctions

• Maintain ATM cubicles in a clean, orderly condition

Cash Replenishment

• Control ATM cash according to secure operational protocols

• Balance and top-up cash at defined intervals

• Obtain and keep slips for each ATM replenishment

• Accurately log and report service changes or no-service scenarios

• Respond promptly to any discrepancies in cash

Deposit and Purge Bin Handling

• Clear ATM deposits accurately and on time

• Escalate irregular deposits to the Branch Security Officer or designated officials

• Ensure secure delivery to either the bank or G4S Cash Centre

Reporting and Reconciliation

• Process daily ATM reports as per the duty list

• Ensure all ATM transaction slips are delivered to the cash centre

• Reconcile ATM cash daily before leaving the premises

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate

• PSIRA Grade C (valid and compliant)

• CIT Certificate

• SAPS Firearm Competency Certificate (Business Purposes)

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar cash operations or ATM environment

Skills and Attributes

• Full knowledge of G4S standard operating procedures

• Competent in handling and operating a firearm

• Results-oriented with a strong focus on delivery

• Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving skills

• Attention to detail, precision, and ability to work under pressure

Compliance Requirements

Candidates must submit a medical certificate proving fitness to carry a firearm, not older than 3 months, prior to final employment consideration. While not required for the initial interview, it is a mandatory step before appointment.
