Role Overview
RCL Foods is recruiting top-tier Human Resources graduates for its Management Trainee Programme: Human Resources, based in Pretoria, Gauteng. This programme offers high-potential graduates an opportunity to gain hands-on HR experience in a dynamic FMCG environment.
The role is crafted for graduates passionate about industrial psychology, talent management, organisational behaviour, employee relations, and learning and development. As a Management Trainee, you will be immersed in key HR operations and drive initiatives that align with the company’s employee engagement and talent strategies.
You will be part of a structured 4–5 year development programme, combining business exposure, HR expertise, leadership development, and rotation across multiple business sites.
Key Responsibilities

Participate in HR strategic projects focused on talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organisational effectiveness

Support HR operations such as payroll, benefits administration, and performance management

Assist with the coordination of learning and development initiatives across departments

Contribute to industrial relations and labour law compliance procedures

Collaborate with HR Business Partners on workforce planning and change management

Engage in company-wide initiatives to promote diversity, inclusion, and wellness

Lead presentations and progress reports on assigned projects

Be willing to relocate across multiple sites as part of a national talent development strategy
Qualifications and Experience
To qualify for the programme, candidates must meet the following minimum criteria:

Completed or final-year studies in one of the following qualifications:

BTech Human Resources Management
-
BCom Human Resources Management
-
BCom Industrial Psychology
-
B.Social Science Honours in Industrial, Organisational and Labour Studies (HRM)

BA Honours in Industrial Psychology

BA in HR, Management, or Industrial Psychology

Bachelor of Business Science in Human Resources Management

South African citizen or permanent resident
-
Solid academic performance, especially in 2nd and 3rd-year major subjects

Strong computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

A valid South African driver’s license (preferred but not mandatory)

Strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and passion for people-centered solutions
