Role Overview

Senwes Grainlink is seeking a qualified Accountant for their Silo Industry division in Klerksdorp. This role is crucial to the financial reporting cycle, budget preparation, forecast planning, and support of year-end processes. The successful candidate will also act as a key support function to the broader grain accounting team and ensure the integrity of financial and operational reports.

This opportunity is best suited for candidates with a strong accounting background in FMCG, agribusiness, or logistics and who are looking to work in a fast-paced, high-impact industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile accurate financial and operational reports to support strategic decision-making

• Lead the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly financial forecasts

• Manage and contribute to half-year-end and year-end reporting cycles

• Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and company policy

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather financial insights and variance analyses

• Assist in developing internal controls and improving financial procedures

• Act as a support resource to other accountants in the grain accounting division

• Provide financial input during internal audits and statutory audits

Minimum Requirements

• Educational Qualification:

  • A relevant BCom degree in Accounting or Financial Management

  • Completed SAICA articles (essential for this role)

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ post-articles accounting experience, preferably in agribusiness, logistics, or manufacturing

• Skills and Attributes:

  • High proficiency in financial systems, Microsoft Excel, and ERP software

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP principles

  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail

  • Team player with a solution-driven mindset
