Role Overview

We are seeking an Intern Estate Agent who will assist in expanding the Pam Golding Properties footprint in Brakpan and surrounding areas. This is a commission-based position that provides extensive mentorship, training, and career development support.

The successful applicant will be responsible for property marketing, client acquisition, sales, and the day-to-day responsibilities of an estate agent, including legal documentation, negotiations, and market analysis.

To succeed in this role, you must reside in or near Brakpan, possess your own vehicle, laptop or tablet, mobile phone, and be able to sustain yourself financially for 6 to 8 months until commissions begin flowing in.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and gather detailed property information (lead generation)

• Actively canvas for properties to list and sell

• Coordinate property photography and staging

• Conduct client visits and provide knowledgeable information about each property and neighborhood

• Perform property valuations based on sound market principles

• Create and execute custom marketing plans for listings

• Organize and manage property show days and client viewings

• Represent sellers in all negotiations and finalize deals with buyers

• Liaise with mortgage originators, conveyancers, and stakeholders throughout the sales process

• Provide expert advice to both buyers and sellers

• Stay updated with Brakpan and broader Gauteng real estate trends and pricing

Qualifications and Experience

To legally operate as a professional estate agent in South Africa, interns must meet the following criteria:

• Register with the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA)

• Obtain a Candidate Estate Agent Fidelity Fund Certificate (FFC)

• Complete an accredited NQF Level 4 Real Estate Qualification

• Compile a comprehensive logbook

• Pass the Professional Designation Exam (PDE)

Pam Golding Properties offers guidance and mentorship through each step of this qualification process.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate

• Must reside in or near Brakpan, Gauteng

• Valid South African driver’s licence and own reliable transport

• Own laptop or tablet and cellphone

• Financially self-sustainable for 6 to 8 months before commission earnings begin

• Previous sales experience is an advantage but not mandatory
