Role Overview

As an Intern Real Estate Agent, you will play a pivotal role in listing, marketing, and selling residential properties in and around Kraaifontein. This is a commission-only role, offering you the flexibility to grow your career and income potential. Ideal candidates are individuals who are sociable, driven by success, self-sufficient, and capable of working to sales targets.

Applicants must have a Matric certificate, and be able to financially sustain themselves for at least 6 months before commission income begins. While previous real estate experience is an advantage, it is not required. A strong passion for property and sales is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Prospect for leads and gather information about properties for sale (lead generation)

• Canvass potential sellers and explain property marketing strategies

• Conduct property visits and provide expert information about neighborhoods

• Perform property valuations using sound market-based principles

• Organize and manage property show days and open houses

• Prepare marketing plans and advertisements for each property listing

• Represent sellers in negotiations and guide them through the sales process

• Monitor and follow up on property transactions with attorneys and banks

• Advise both buyers and sellers with up-to-date market knowledge

• Stay informed about trends in the local and national real estate market

Qualifications and Experience

To legally operate as a real estate agent in South Africa, interns must fulfill the following regulatory and educational requirements:

• Register with the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA)

• Obtain a Candidate Estate Agent Fidelity Fund Certificate (FFC)

• Enroll in and complete an accredited NQF Level 4 Real Estate qualification

• Complete a practical logbook tracking your on-the-job experience

• Successfully pass the Professional Designation Examination (PDE)

Note: These steps will be supported by the Pam Golding team and mentorship program.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate

• Ability to sustain yourself financially for a minimum of 6 months

• A presentable and professional appearance

• Real estate experience is beneficial but not required

• Residing in or around Kraaifontein is strongly preferred
