🧾 Role Overview
Empact Group is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner for its operations in Tongaat. The primary responsibility of the cleaner is to maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards in designated areas, including food production spaces and front- and back-of-house environments. You’ll also support general housekeeping tasks and ensure health and safety standards are upheld.
This position plays a critical role in helping the company deliver a hygienic and welcoming environment for staff and clients, particularly in the food and beverages industry, where cleanliness is key to success.
✅ Key Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning of assigned areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces

Restock cleaning and hygiene supplies as required

Conduct inspection of cleaning equipment and report any maintenance needs

Assist with special cleaning projects as needed

Provide support in both front and back of house cleaning and tidying duties

Follow company protocols for waste management, hygiene, and safety

Maintain cleanliness in kitchen, service, and public areas

Ensure all duties are carried out in line with food safety and health regulations
🎓 Qualifications and Experience

Matric (Grade 12) is required

Previous experience as a cleaner in a corporate or hospitality environment is preferred

Customer service experience will be considered an added advantage
